This International Standard specifies a method for the determination of the solid fat content in animal and vegetable fats and oils (herinafter referred to as fats) using low-resolution pulsed nuclear magnetic resonance. Alternative thermal pretreatments are specified according to whether or not the fat exhibits pronounced polymorphism.
