1. Purpose and Scope 1.1 This test method is applicable to textile fabrics that may evolve formaldehyde, particularly fabrics finished with chemicals containing formaldehyde. It provides accelerated storage condition and an analytical means for determining the amount of formaldehyde released under the conditions of accelerated storage (see Section 5 and 10.1).
