- This specification covers the design of an own ship's position indicator for use in Naval ships for remote indication of own ship's geographic position.

- Own ship's position indicator shall be of the following types, as specified (see 6.2):

Type I - An indicator which is capable of receiving a three speed (1X, 36X, 360X) own ship's position signal from two sources (primary and secondary).

Type II - An indicator which is capable of receiving a single source of two speed (1X, 36X) position signal.
