The standard specifies five methods for the measurement of t he dimensions of solid vulcanized rubber,the method chosen i n any particular case being essentially dependent on the mag nitude of the dimension to be measured. Three of the methods are of general use,one is often useful for test pieces take n from O-rings,conveyor belts and hose,whereas the fifth is intended for compression set test pieces
