PURPOSE.
The purpose of the Ford Motor Company Engineering CAD & Drafting Standards (FECDS) is to provide direction to Ford Motor Company Engineering Activities, Suppliers, and contract engineering companies for the preparation of Product, Manufacturing and Service technical drawings for use by Ford Motor Company and its suppliers. These Standards provide comprehensive information regarding the preparation and interpretation of engineering drawings and assist Ford Motor Company's engineering organizations to satisfy the principles of ISO 9000 or ISO/TS 16949.
