scope:

This Defence Standard specifies metric brazed nipple pipe fittings for connecting rigid or flexible hydraulic tubing to system components in high or low pressure hydraulic systems for Ministry of Defence use.

This Defence Standard is not applicable for aerospace use.

These fittings have been designed for high and low pressure applications but have only been proven for low pressure systems.

Before these fittings are used in high pressure systems intending users should satisfy themselves as to their suitability.

This Defence Standard will be the subject of amendment action or reissue as and when the maximum safe working pressures are determined by the Design Authority.
