scope:
This standard specifies the requirements for six high quality natural rubber materials, intended for use as the resilient component in the manufacture of shock and vibration mounts in accordance with the Book of Reference (BRs) 8472 and 8473.
The six grades of compound are specified by their hardness range and are designated RM 1,2,4,5,6 and 7 as defined in Table 2.
This standard shall be read in conjunction with the appropriate drawing to fully specify the size and type of resilient mount.
