PURPOSE. This Instruction describes the policy and responsibilities for the implementation of the NASA/GSFC Materials and Processes Program. It is developed around the GSFC Materials Selection Guide (MSG) as the principal tool for implementing the Materials and Processes Program.
APPLICABILITY. This Instruction shall be implemented on all equipment of new procurements intended for space flight use except for sounding rockets, and balloons.
