This specification sheet is approved for use by the Naval Air Systems Command, Department of the Navy, and is available for use by all Departments and Agencies of the Department of Defense.
The requirements for acquiring the product described herein shall consist of this specification sheet and the issue of the following specification listed in that issue of the Department of Defense Index of Specifications and Standards (DODISS) specified in the solicitation: MIL-F-81836(AS)
Notes:
1. Material: See procurement specification.
2. Dimensions in inches unless otherwise specified.
Tolerances: Decimals ±.010, angles ±1°.
3. Direction of flow and port markings shall be clearly and permanently marked on each side.
4. Filter includes filter element M81836/9.
5. W diameter may be broken by inlet port provided unbroken solid shoulder extends for at least 270° of circumference.
6. Machined surfaces, "M" dia and 30° lead-in in Detail U shall be smooth to 32 microinches Ra per ANSI/ASME B46.1 unless otherwise specified.
