scope:

This specification supports the acquisition of two models of cannon. This specification includes the minimum essential Engineering and Packaging Requirements and the necessary Quality Assurance Provisions to determine that these requirements have been met.

The two models are:

Type I. Cannon 105MM Gun: M68

Type II. Cannon 105MM Gun: M68A1

intended Use:

The 105MM M68 is intended for use in most M60 series and the M48A5 Tank systems. The 105MM M68A1 is intended for use in most M60 series, M48A5, and M1 Tank systems.
