scope:
Scope. This instruction establishes the NRLTC for all Drilling NR officers. The NRLTC seeks to accomplish for Drilling Reserve officers the same goals as the active duty LTC. Under the active duty program, officers receive leadership training at the division officer Basic Officer Leadership Training Course, department head Intermediate Officer Leadership Training Course, senior department head/executive officer Advanced Officer Leadership Training Course (AOLTC), and Commanding Officer (CO) Command Leadership Course (CLC) levels. The NR LTC endeavors to provide similar leadership training to NR officers at equivalent career points. The content of the Reserve Officer Leadership Course (ROLC) is closely modeled on the active duty LTC curriculum and employs a similar facilitated discussion seminar format. As in the active duty program, proven, top-performing leaders will facilitate all courses.
Purpose. To issue policy, administrative guidance, and implementing procedures for NRLTC for Drilling NR officers.
