Purpose.

To establish uniform administrative disciplinary process, procedures, and authorized disciplinary and management actions within the Navy corrections program. As used herein, the term "prisoner" denotes both pretrial and post-trial personnel, regardless of service branch, unless otherwise noted. The term "confinement facility" includes all Navy shore brigs and pre-trial confinement facilities. The term "disciplinary actions" is synonymous with authorized administrative disciplinary and management actions, and also referred to as "punishment."

Applicability.

This policy applies throughout the Navy corrections system and is applicable to all eligible prisoners, regardless of Service affiliation.
