PURPOSE

This Goddard Procedures and Guidelines (GPG) establishes responsibilities and outlines procedures for the acquisition of furniture and furnishings from government stocks or General Services Administration (GSA) Federal Supply Schedules (FSS). This GPG serves as an enabling infrastructure to create a work environment that focuses on safety, cost effectiveness, and functional efficiency. It also establishes standards to increase the benefits associated with furniture reutilization.

APPLICABILITY

The provisions of this directive apply to all GSFC civil service personnel. Additionally, the standards contained in this directive apply to onsite contractors who are provided furniture by the government or acquire furniture for use on Center.
