This specification covers diazo sensitized paper for producing direct-positive prints from translucent or transparent originals by contact printing and by processing in ammonia vapor, moist or other systems designed for development of these products.
Diazotype papers covered by this specification shall be classified using the designators specified in table I, and meeting the requirements put forth in table II. The paper products nominal value of the appropriate characteristic will fall within one of the designator groups. The paper product supplied by the manufacturer shall not vary more than ±10 percent of the manufacturer's nominal value. While this designator system includes every conceivable combination of sensitized diazo-positive paper product, many of these products are not practically possible in the diazo process at this time.
intended Use:
The diazotype paper covered by this specification is intended for use in making reproducibles, and reproductions of original drawings, tracings and other documents.
