This specification covers terminals, plugs, and switches that provide emergency electric power connections for casualty power systems. The capacity of these devices is 450 volts alternating current (Vac), three-phase, 100 and 200 amperes for use on Naval ships.

The part number shall consist of the letter "M" followed by the basic specification sheet number, and a sequentially assigned dash number (see 3.1 and 6.2.1).
