Measured shielding effectiveness values may be up to 25 dB over the minimum values in table I, depending on the test facility used. For example, an 80 dB gasket could read 105 dB when measured.

Wire mesh gaskets should not be used in salt spray environments unless the wire mesh is protected from the spray by a rubber (or equivalent) gasket.
