scope:

This standard covers 3-in. through 24-in. (75-610mm) ductile iron fittings to be used with ductile-iron pipe for gas. All 16-, 20-, 24- in. (410-, 510-, and 610-mm) ductile iron fittings in this standard are shown for rated working pressures of 150 psi (1.03 MPa). Ductile iron fittings, 12 in. and smaller, are shown for rated working pressures of 250 psi (1.72 MPa). Ductile iron drip pot fittings are shown in sizes 4 in. through 12 in. (100-300 mm) for rated working pressures of 50 psi (0.34 Mpa). Fittings with mechanical joints are dimensioned and illustrated in the Tables and Figures. This standard may be used for fittings with such other joints as may be agreed upon at the time of purchase.
