This Standard specifies requirements for all software used in
Defence Equipment designated
The requirements of the Standard extend to tools and support software used to develop, test, certify and maintain SCS through all phases of the project lifecycle, if hazard analysis shows such tools to be safety critical.
This Standard or specified clauses thereof may also be applied to non-safety-ritical software.
