Purpose. This pamphlet provides instructions for the implementation of approved changes to the Military Occupational Classification and Structure (MOCS) for the 1 November 1998 through 31 March 1999 cycle.

Applicability. This pamphlet applies to the Active Army, the Army National Guard, and the U.S. Army Reserve. Specifically, it applies to proponent agencies and personnel support activities involved in career management, field management, and military occupational specialty classification and structure. During mobilization, chapters contained in this pamphlet may be modified by the proponent.
