This specification relates to a fixed frame, hand fretsaw manufactured from steel strip and complying in general with the requirements of Fig 1 on page 4.
The blade which is used with above frame when sawing wood, is listed in Table I(B) of this Defence Standard.
The blade suitable for use with the above frame when sawing metal is listed in Table (B) of Defence Standard 51-11 (PART 8)/1, Blade, jewellers saw NATO Stock No 5110-99-910-5796.
The manufacturing specification for the blade is detailed seperately under specification 'B' of this Defence Standard.
