This specification covers electromechanical torque metering equipment (torsionmeter) for the measuring of the torsional deflection of a specified section of the propeller propulsion shaft used in Naval Ships. The equipment, essentially a stationary mounted sensing-indications system, is capable of determining and processing for suitable display the stress conditions of a rotating shaft.
