GENERAL

In the detailed design of the rotorcraft, the variety of materials and parts shall be kept to a minimum consistent with structural efficiency and without unduly sacrificing structure weight. The design of parts and fittings shall be such as to facilitate their manufacture in quantity.

Components and items of equipment shall have at least the same factor as the main structure in all the appropriate stressing cases. Local loads at parts of attachment to the main structure shall be carefully considered to ensure that the main structure is not unduly weakened thereby.
