This INTERIM Defence Standard specifies requirements for two types of anhydrous calcium sulfate each of which may be used for the manufacture of inert filler. Type 1 is used independently whilst Type 2 is used in admixture with kaolin complying with Def Stan 96-2.
The Type 2 material shall not be used in any store where there is a possibility of physical contact with explosive material.
