This Defence Standard establishes the requirements for the substitution of the original Unified stiffnuts, called up by the nut manufacturer's reference number, by the appropriate standard part number. It also details the requirements for future call up of all metal stiffnuts used on new or modified designs of aerospace equipment incorporating Unified threaded fasteners. For the purpose of this Standard, stiffnuts also include all forms of all metal Unified anchor nuts.
