The standard specifies requirements for hose assemblies for use with medical gas supply systems for clinical applications. Requirements are given for the design, performance, identification and testing of hose assemblies. Internally installed hose assemblies which cannot be removed by the user are not covered by the standard and requirements for electrical conductivity is not included.
