scope:

This specification covers radial overarm, electric motor driven circular, woodworking saws.

Federal specifications do not include all varieties of the commodity as indicated by the title of the specification, or which are commercially available, but are intended to cover only those generally used by the Federal Government.

The saws shall be of the following styles, and sizes, as specified (see 6.2):

Style A - With legs. Style B Without legs (for portable use). Size 10 - Standard duty (⅝-inch arbor), 2-¾ inch depth of cut, 10-inch max. blade diameter. Size 12 - Standard duty (⅝-inch arbor), 3-¾ inch depth of cut, 12-inch max. blade diameter. Size 14 - Heavy duty (1-inch arbor), 4-inch depth of cut, 14-inch max. blade diameter. Size 16 - Heavy duty (1-inch arbor), 4-½ inch depth of cut, 16-inch max. blade diameter.
