This Specification applies to electrical equipment used on, or in
close connection with,
woodworking(Footnote
It does not apply to
(a) small machines of the "hobby" type intended for use only in domestic or similar occupancies,
(b) miscellaneous portable tools such as saws, drills, sanders, etc., which are within the scope of the latest issue of CSA Specification C22.2 No. 71, Portable Electric Tools,
(c) electrical equipment which, while intended for use in connection with woodworking machinery, is located or housed (as in dust-free rooms) where it will not be affected by dust or wood chips, and which complies with the requisite requirements of Part I of this Code.
