This test method is used to determine the presence of various silane treatments on glass fibers by a simple qualitative procedure. This method differentiates among Dow Z-6020 aminofunctional silane, Dow Z-6030 methacrylate functional silane, and Dow Z-6040 epoxy-functional silane - also mixtures of the last two - as well as the absence of any silane.
