scope:

This specification covers one type of oil cooler assembly for cooling engine and transmission oils (see 6.1) and is comprised of two engine oil cooler core assemblies and one transmission oil cooler assembly.

The engine and oil cooler assembly for acquisition purposes comes in three configurations as specified (see 6.2):

Configuration A - Oil cooler assembly (Drawing 8690239)

Configuration B - Core assembly, engine oil (Drawing 7356770)

intended Use:

The oil cooler assemblies covered by this specification are intended for use in military tactical and transport vehicles to cool the vehicle engine and transmission oil.
