This specification covers lamp-holders to be used with incandescent lamps having medium screw bases; lampholder to current tap adapters; lampholder to plug adapters; and mogul-screw to medium-screw-shell adapters with ratings of 125, 250, and 600 volts; and shadeholders.

Lampholders and adapters shall be one of the following types, as specified:

Type I.--Standard size, press-fit attaching (see fig. 1).

Type IIIm.--Standard size, thread attaching, metal (see fig. 2).

Type IIIp.--Standard size, thread attaching, plastic (see fig. 3).

Type IV.--Standard size, screw attaching, porcelain (see fig. 4).

Type V.--Outlet box mounting (see fig. 5).

Type VI.--Cleat wiring (see fig. 6).

Type VII.--Ring mounting (see fig. 7).

Type VIII.--Sign (see fig. 8).

Type IX.--Miscellaneous use (see fig. 9).

Type X.--Weatherproof (see fig. 10).

Type XI.--Adapters (see fig. 11).

Shadeholders shall be one of the following types and sizes, as specified:

Type TS.--Fastening by means of threads around lampholder shell, and having ring and set screws for suspension of shade. For use with types I through IV lampholders.

Size 2¼.--To hold 2¼-inch shade.

Size 3¼.--To hold 3¼-inch shade.

Size 4.--To hold 4-inch shade.

Type TW.--Fastening by means of threads around lampholder shell, and having ring and spring wire grip device for suspension of shade. For use with types I through IV lampholders.

Size 2¼.--To hold 2¼-inch shade.

Size 3¼.--To hold 3¼-inch shade.

Type CS.--Fastening by means of clamp around groove of lampholder shell, and having ring and set screws for suspension of shade. For use with types I through VII and type X lampholders.

Size 2¼.--To hold 2¼-inch shade.

Size 3¼.--To hold 3¼-inch shade.
