scope:
This European Standard applies to heat meters, that is to instruments intended for measuring the heat which, in a heat-exchange circuit, is absorbed or given up by a liquid called the heat-conveying liquid. The heat meter indicates the heat quantity in legal units. This Part of this European Standard covers the initial verification which is intended to ensure, that heat meters which are put into service, conform to an approved pattern and to regulations, i.e. have specified metrological characteristics within the limits of the max. permissible errors.
