scope:
This specification covers direct-current, plastic dielectric, fixed capacitors with nonmetallic cases. These capacitors are intended for operation in ambients from −55° to +125°C.
The type designation shall be in the following form, and as specified:
The style is identified by the three-letter symbol "CTM;" the three letters "CTM" identify dc, plastic dielectric, fixed capacitors enclosed in nonmetallic tubular cases.
The nominal capacitance value expressed in micromicrofarads is identified by a three-digit number; the first two digits represent significant figures and the last digit specifies the number of zeros to follow.
The characteristic is identified by a single letter in accordance with the applicable detail specification.
The de working voltage for continuous operation at 125°C is identified by a single letter in accordance with table I. TABLE I. - Voltage Rating
D.C.
