This Defence Standard specifies the types of towing attachments to be provided on aircraft for normal forward and backward towing and for emergency towing, and specifies the dimensional requirements for these attachments and for the associated towing and steering equipment.
This Standard applies only to aircraft with wheels, and should be used in conjunction with the relevant paragraphs of DEF STAN 00-970 Chaps 308 and 802.
