AIM

The aim of this agreement is to achieve standardization of the dynamic firing techniques employed by NATO countries in determining ballistic data for the preparation of firing tables and other types of fire control equipment for surface-to-surface artillery cannon. Ratification and implementation of this STANAG will ensure that ballistic data for cannon artillery fire control developed by one NATO country, for a common weapon system, can be effectively used by any other NATO country without substantial additional dynamic firings.

This agreement is not applicable to:

a. projectiles for direct firing;

b. pyrotechnic projectiles.
