scope:
The standard specifies a spectrophotometric method for the d etermination of the nitrogen content of non-alloy steels.Thi s method allows the determination only of the nitrogen conte nt which can be converted to an ammonium salt. The method is applicable to non-alloy and low-alloy steels c ontaining between 0,002% and 0,050% (m/m) of nitrogen.
