scope:

This Standard applies to the following products designed to be employed in accordance with the rules of the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I:

(a) metallic and nonmetallic outlet boxes, and conduit, concrete, floor, and pull boxes not exceeding 1640 mL in volume;

(b) metallic and nonmetallic device boxes (with or without integral fittings) that do not exceed 1640 mL in volume, except for ganged boxes that do not exceed the equivalent of the 10-gang size, each single-gang section of which does not exceed 1640 mL in volume;

(c) extension rings, outlet box covers, and bar hangers;

(d) threaded and threadless fittings for rigid conduit and electrical metallic tubing;

(e) service entrance fittings;

(f) nonmetallic sheath cable, tray cable, and flexible cord fittings;

(g) armoured cable, flexible metal conduit, and liquid-tight conduit fittings;

(h) mesh grips;

(i) service entrance heads;

(j) locknuts for rigid conduit;

(k) bushings and nipples for rigid conduit;

(l) reducing washers;

(m) straps for rigid conduit and electrical metallic tubing;

(n) straps and staples for armoured cable, flexible metal conduit, and nonmetallic sheathed cable;

(o) protector plates;

(p) clamps and fittings for aluminum sheathed cable;

(q) hangers for rigid conduit and electrical metallic tubing;

(r) armoured cable bushings; and

(s) conduit bodies.
