This specification covers the requirements and tests for three types of two-component polyether type polyurethane foam, rigid, for packaging and encapsulation of electronic components.
The polyether type polyurethane foam will be furnished in the following types, as characterized by their densities and acquisition document (see 6.2):
Type I - 2 pounds per cubic foot (lb/ft3) Type II - 2 to 3 lb/ft3 Type III - 4 lb/ft3
