scope:
The standard specifies the requirements for chairs intended for use in offices and workplaces with regard to dimensions, stability, strength and durability. The standard does not apply to chairs intended to fulfil special functions. The standard is limited to chairs with rotatable seat, adjustable seat height, seat depth and baskrest height and variable baskrest inclination.
