scope:
This specification covers 1-½ inch monel (nickel-copper) valves for use in boiler blow systems other than the first valve off of boiler drums and headers, 600 and 1500 pounds per square inch (lb/in2) service.
Monel valves shall be of the straightway and angle design and shall be of the following types, as specified (see 6.2.1).
Type I - Flanged globe, T pattern, 600 lb/in2 service Type II - Flanged angle, 600 lb/in2 service Type III - Flanged globe stop check, T pattern, 600 lb/in2 service Type IV - Flanged angle stop check, 600 lb/in2 service Type V - Flanged globe, T pattern, 1500 lb/in2 service Type VI - Flanged angle, 1500 lb/in2 service Type VII - Flanged globe stop check, T pattern, 1500 lb/in2 service Type VIII - Flanged angle stop check, 1500 lb/in2 service
