This MSFC Engineering Documentation Standard, MSFC-STD-555, describes the preparation, release, revision, and cancellation of MSFC engineering documentation with major emphasis on engineering drawings. Accordingly, it is not intended to address ail reports, manuals, handbooks, and project documents prepared by MSFC. References to MSFC, NASA, DOD, national, and international practices and procedures have been incorporated to define engineering documentation requirements. DOD-STD-100, which reflects the combined efforts of the Department of Defense and industry to unify engineering practices, is the primary mechanical drafting reference. MSFC-STD-525 is the primary electrical/electronic drafting reference.
