1. SCOPE.The

purpose of this standard is to assure that industrial equipment, which in its operation utilizes radio frequencies above 9 kHz (9,000 cycles per second) complies with all requirements of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Rules and Regulations, Title 47, Part 18, as applied to Industrial, Scientific, and Medical (ISM) equipment within the Company. It's purpose is to prevent harmful interference to radio communications. Furthermore, such ISM equipment shall be subject to verification, in accordance with the relevant sections of Part 2, Subpart J, of Title 47. (Equipment Authorization Procedures)
