These capacitors are primarily designed for use where a small physical size with comparatively large electrical capacitance and high insulation resistance is required. General purpose ceramic capacitors are suitable for use as by-pass, filter, and non-critical coupling elements in high frequency circuits. All of these applications are of the type where dissipation factor is not critical and moderate changes due to temperature, voltage, and frequency variations do not affect the proper functioning of the circuit.
