Organization: NPFC
Publication Date: 4 April 1966
Status: inactive
Page Count: 33
scope:

This specification covers devices, for use on aircraft, which convert power from 28-volt dc systems to ac power at 400 cps.

Inverters shall be of the following classes, as specified:

Class A - Inverters which are self-cooled and designed to meet the altitude-temperature requirements of Standard MS33543, curve II. Class B - Inverters which are self-cooled and designed to meet the altitude-temperature requirements of Standard MS33543, curve I, except that the ambient temperature shall not exceed 85°C. The inverter shall deliver rated output up to 50,000 feet and 50 percent (minimum) rated power to 65,000 feet. Class C - Inverters which are blast-cooled and designed to meet the altitude-temperature requirements of MS33542.

intended Use:

This specification covers the requirements for inverters, which are used as devices to convert direct current electrical energy into alternating current electrical energy. They are intended for... View More
