scope:
This specification sets forth the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requirements for design, fabrication, testing and delivery by the successful offeror (otherwise known as the Contractor) to FAA sites of stationary, continuous standby, 675kW diesel engine-driven generator sets including auxiliary equipment, accessories and controls. The engine generator set shall be capable of producing its rated power (generator output) at the rated frequency, voltage and power factor specified. The sets shall be compatible with and operate in parallel with existing standby generating plants in air route traffic control centers (ARTCC). The Contractor shall furnish all material and labor required to provide the standby power sets specified herein. Installation of the sets will be performed under separate contract.
intended Use:
The engine generator sets will be used to provide electric power to the ARTCC facilities in anticipation of or during commercial/utility power outages.
