scope:

Purpose. a. Establish procedures and assign responsibilities within the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) for certification and verification of aircraft carrier/aircraft carrier (nuclear propulsion) (CV/CVN) precision approach and landing systems (PALS).

b. Publish PALS certification/verification responsibilities for Program Executive Officer, Aircraft Carriers (PEO Carriers) and the Naval Air Systems Command Headquarters (NAVAIRHQ).

c. Publish responsibilities for the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAVAIRWARCENACDIV) Patuxent River, Maryland certification/verifications teams as established by references (a) and (b).
