This specification defines the general requirements for packaging engineers' cutting tools of the following types:
(a) Screwing tools (i.e. taps and dies)
Milling cutters (both shank and non-shank) and slitting saws
Reamers
Twist drills
Butt-welded lathe and planer tools
Hard metal tipped tools
(b) Extractors, tap and screw
Diestock and tap wrenches
This specification is complementary to the Services' Packaging Instruction Sheet (S.P.I.S.), M.O.S. Form No. 673, relevant to the particular item concerned.
