This specification established the general requirements for hybrid microcircuits and specifies the quality and reliability assurance requirements which shall be met in the acquisition of such devices. The types of devices covered by this specification include but are not limited to hybrid microcircuits, microwave hybrid microcircuits, and multichip modules (MCN's). Details requirements, specific characteristics, and other provisions which are sensitive to the particular intended use shall be specified in the applicable device acquisition specification. Three quality assurance requirement option directed at, but not limited to, low volume custom devices, medium volume custom or catalog devices, and high volume catalog standard hybrid microcircuits (table I, options 1, 2 and 4, respectively) are provided for in this specification. Two quality assurance levels for hybrid microcircuits, classes K and H, are also provided for in this specification.
