This method is for determining concentrations of vanadium, nickel and iron in all types of petroleum oils by atomic absorption spectrophotometry (AAS). The method covers a range of vanadium from 0.3 ppm to several hundred ppm and a range of 0.1 to 100 ppm or higher for both nickel and iron.
