Organization: ASTM International
Publication Date: 10 September 2001
Status: inactive
Page Count: 7
ICS Code (Rubber): 83.060
scope:

1.1 This test method specifies a method for the measurement of selected vulcanization characteristics of rubber compounds using rotorless linear shear, unsealed torsion shear, and sealed torsion shear cure meters. The three types of instruments may not give the same results.

Note 1-An alternative method for the measurement of vulcanization characteristics is given in Test Method D 2084.

1.2 The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as the standard. The values given in parentheses are for information only.

1.3 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety and health practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.
