scope:

Purpose. To provide for the encouragement and recognition of individual engineering excellence, outstanding professional achievement, and technical expertise. Each year one civilian and one military nominee from each Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFACENGCOM) component, including Headquarters, may be submitted to compete for the NAVFACENGCOM Civilian and Military Engineer of the Year Award. Winners of the NAVFACENGCOM Civilian and Military Engineer of the Year awards will continue on as the NAVFACENGCOM nominees competing for the prestigious National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE) Federal Engineer of the Year Award.
